Sketchy things from the Strilondes Discord!
Uh… I had some anatomy classes that helps understand the muscles and stuff. Then, I still need to practice a lot and work with references because you never fully “learn” anatomy! There’s always something new to learn and that’s fun!
And mh… I dunno, 8 years or smthing like that?
Probably more, but before that I was drawing only horses. Horses everywhere.

Anatomy is super hard and I always use a lot or references, photography anatomy’s book, anything… ALWAYS!
I said this on the Strilonde server but I wanted to make it clear.
I’ve said before that comments are amazing and at their best, they literally help me decide the direction of a story. Art is the same way, for the above reasons.

Hey, peeps. So, here’s the bottom line:
I’m pretty sure I solved Homestuck’s Class System.
This is a masterpost for a series of essays that lay a case, strongly informed by the canon with screenshots and references, for the following things:
1) What every Passive/Active pair is.
2) What every Key Verb (IE: Destroy and Steal, the canon ones) is, and how those Key Verbs are paired together.
3) what Passive/Active even means exactly.
4) How the Passive/Active spectrum works.
In this masterpost, I make the case for the core philosophy that informs the entire Class system. I’m also posting and linking to the first essay, on the Destroy and Create verb pair. The other two essays are already written, and I’ll be posting them over the next two weeks!
They are available in their entireties for my Patrons, so if you can spare me a buck a month you can get these early if you decide you like them enough. Higher reward tiers will let you invite friends to the Discord so they can read them too!.

I don’t know what to say but… Please don’t! What does “inadequate” even mean? Don’t compare to other while drawing! Drawing is really personal, it’s you! Have fun with it, experiment, but don’t feel “inadequate”! You are valid!
It’s not really a tutorial, but if you search for tips to improve i recommend to observe a lot anatomy books and to draw the muscles when you’re drawing (it helps a lot!
Here’s an example! (it was less precise on my original sketch but i deleted it…)
The fun after understanding basic anatomy is to play with it and stylise it! (Don’t try to be 100% anatomy correct, drawing is here to play with forms and lines!)

Hi! I was inspired by a wonderful Monogram tattoo artist and try to make my own design with Jake’s Name !

And here a quick decomposition of the process, it’s not as complicated that it may look if the word is short and is quite funny to do!
